Here's a piece of history that never was, the JCW 225 cars were prototypes in development, they were to be the replacement of the JCW 210 package. When John Cooper Works was bought out by BMW the project was canned and the 2nd generation R56 followed immediately.
 
Until the F56 project, there was never a JCW that would be released producing more than 210BHP. The 225 HPD project was developed in house to support the JCW Challenge series that was running at the time. Only a hand full of cars were ever given the 225 upgrade and only one vehicle, this vehicle was given the upgrade over and above the 225 to a C plaque engine, reserved only for the purpose built race cars John Cooper Garages and MINI motorsport put out on to the track.
 
This vehicle was originally converted by JCG and upgraded over and above the 225BHP package with MINI Motorsport in 2007 when MINI motorsport were still overseeing the race series we know today as MINI CHALLENGE. We are aware of 8 225's in existence and all are very different builds. This one a hell of a lot more car than just a JCW 210, it's certainly a lot faster than any other JCW we have driven.
